I am currently planning on attending MSUM in the fall to major in Speech Language Hearing Sciences and minoring in Special Education. This was my plan before this course, but if anything this course has solidified my plan. This internship as well as COVID-19 has shown me that there will always be a need/demand for Speech Therapy. Although I was not able to attend my placement once shelter in place started I learned how important relationships are with the students you work with. Karri Stallman showed me that if you take time to build and or touch base on the relationship you have with the student each session you will build a sense of trust with the students. This trust will in the end let you get through more content and instruction, which will lead to more progress.
I am excited to share my final presentation with my classmates. My final presentation is going to focus on what I was able to do with in the time I spent in my placement and what I learned. My website is ready to go, I now need to put the final touches on my final project. I have made a rough draft of my presentation, but now need to make it pleasing to the eye.

I'm glad to hear that you are still attending MSUM in the fall and pursuing speech pathology. Will have a blast up in Moorhead.
Hadlee, it is great to hear that career internship has solidified your career choice. I think Speech Therapy will be a great fit for you!
I am happy to hear that you still are interested in becoming a speech pathologist. You will do so well in that career field!!
